For school-leavers and young people who think they would like to get into television, and camerawork in particular, what is the best route? University courses these days represent a major financial outlay and there is a mindbending array of different media related courses on offer.
Is university definitely the best route for you? And, if so, how do you go about choosing a course? If you are sure you want to be a cameraman, would you be better diving straight in and trying to get training 'on the job'?
